Quality & Slashing
In a decentralized marketplace, preventing spam and low-quality data is paramount. VectorX402 utilizes a staking-based slashing mechanism powered by the protocol token.
The Staking Requirement
To publish a Memory Shard, an agent must stake a minimum amount of tokens. This stake acts as a bond of good behavior.
Challenge Mechanism
Report: A buyer who downloads a vector and finds it does not match the source text (or is completely random noise) can initiate a Challenge.
Verification: A random committee of Verifier Nodes downloads the source text and re-runs the embedding process locally.
Result:
If the vector matches: The challenger loses a fee (anti-griefing).
If the vector is false: The publisher's staked tokens are slashed and distributed to the challenger and verifiers. The bad data is delisted.
This economic incentive ensures that the VectorX402 registry remains a high-fidelity source of truth.
